Born and raised in a small town in North-West Province, I’ve dedicated many years to the pharmaceutical industry and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Marketing, focusing on pharmaceuticals. As a mom to two incredible children who juggle academics, sports, and social life, I understand the unique challenges and pressures that today’s kids face.
When one of my children was diagnosed with an IgA Deficiency, a condition that increases susceptibility to infections, I realised the profound impact nutrition can have on their health. This realisation led me to become the founder of Vie&Sante, which means “Life and Health,” because a life without health isn’t complete.
As I searched for children’s supplements to fill the nutritional gaps, I found many issues with the products available on the market. They were ingredient-focused, sugar-laden, unappealing, and impractical. I knew our kids deserved better, so I created the Safari Squad children’s supplement range. As the founder of this supplement range I wanted it to provide comprehensive, nutritious, and engaging solutions.
In today’s world, there are many things beyond our control, from pandemics to media exposure and homework loads. But we can take charge of our children’s nutrition and education. The Safari Squad emphasises the importance of nourishing young bodies and teaching kids about their health. Our goal is to help children develop positive relationships with food and their bodies, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of healthy choices.
The Safari Squad stories and educational games offer entertainment while promoting diversity, inclusion, and trust between children and their caregivers. We strive to help kids expand their vocabulary and better express their feelings, empowering them to become their own health heroes.
Being the founder of both Vie&Sante and the Safari Squad range has taught me so much about the importance of health and wellness, especially for children through their developmental years.
